Who can say no to pepperjack cheese sticks? Why would you want to! Hand cut off the block, beer battered, rolled in panko & deep fried to perfection. We here these commonly referred to as cheese logs among our biggest cheese stick lovers. For good reason too.A full order is over 3/4 of a pound cheese. Cut right off the block. Look at those jalapenos just waiting to be paired up with some sweet chili sauce for a combination that sounds like it shouldn’t work, but definitely does.
A quick dip in the beer batter. A good coating of panko Japanese bread crumbs.
Into the deep fryer they go until the inside is nice and melted and the outside is golden brown. These usually cook for about five minutes, but they will start to float when they are just about done. We keep a close eye on them. If the coating isn’t just right the cheese will slide out and we have to start over. If we cook them too long they will burst open and the melted cheese flows out of the numerous holes leaving just an empty shell. It really is not as hard as it sounds once you get the technique down.
This is a half an order. Full order is 6 and you should probably bring a friend to share with.
Come on in and grab some cheesy goodness with a friend. You will not be sorry!
Smile and say CHEESE 🙂
